BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – February 22, 2021 – The Illinois Certified Crop Adviser Program in collaboration with Precision Conservation Management (PCM) are hosting an upcoming webinar series.

The next session, “PCM and Tillage Economics,” will be held on February 23 at 9:00 a.m. and will offer one continuing education credit (CEU) in soil and water.

PCM has captured a great deal of farm-related information on tillage passes and associated economics. This webinar will cover the economics related to tillage systems on east-central Illinois farms. Yields and costs across systems will be examined, and the most profitable systems will be identified. To register for this webinar, click here.

The final session, “Nutrient Management on Illinois Farms,” will be held on March 2 at 9:00 a.m. and will offer one CEU in nutrient management.

Fertilizer is one of the largest costs on Illinois grain farms, and there are many ways farmers apply fertilizer on fields. Rates and forms of nutrient applications vary greatly across farms. This webinar will look at the most profitable approaches, with a particular emphasis on nitrogen. Data from PCM will be used to address these issues. To register for this webinar, click here.

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development and utilization efforts while the membership program supports the government relations interests of Illinois soybean farmers at the local, state, and national level, through the Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG). ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean producers through promotion, advocacy, and education with the vision of becoming a market leader in sustainable soybean production and profitability.
