BLOOMINGTON, ILL – January 10, 2022 – The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff program recognizes that tax preparedness and estate planning are critical to farmers’ businesses and legacies. That’s why ISA has partnered with KCoe Isom, the leading national business advisory and accounting firm for food and ag businesses, to bring Illinois farmers an in-person workshop covering the most urgent tax concerns and estate planning needs in today’s farm business.

This information-rich workshop led by KCoe Isom will focus on the “dos and don’ts” of both financial planning and the emotional side of family business transition. The day will end with an open discussion, allowing farmers to bring their operation-specific questions.

The workshop will take place January 27, 2022 from 1-3pm CT, immediately following ISA’s Better Beans event at Richland Community College in Decatur.

“We’re here to give growers the tools they need to set their farms up for success in 2022. Their bottom line is our top-of-mind, and partnering with an industry leading team like Kcoe Isom to deliver these tax tips to farmers at such a critical point in the year is a great reinvestment of their checkoff dollars” says ISA Director of Communications, Rachel Peabody.
