Bloomington, Ill. – February 10, 2026 – The Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) is looking for farmers interested in filling two vacant Board seats representing Districts 14 and 16.
- District 14: Cumberland, Clark, Effingham, Jasper and Crawford counties
- District 16: Clay, Richland, Lawrence, Wayne, Edwards, White and Wabash counties
Eligibility to serve requires candidates to be:
- A resident of the state of Illinois living within the district for which he/she is nominated and elected.
- Of legal voting age.
- A producer of soybeans in Illinois subject to the assessment in the district in and for which he/she is nominated and elected, who must also have the first right of ownership in soybeans for which payment is received.
Elected candidates would complete the vacant terms and then be eligible for three additional three-year terms. At the top of each application is a link to frequently asked questions and answers that we receive about these opportunities.
