Leadership from the Illinois Soybean Association is representing the Illinois soy family at Commodity Classic in Orlando, Florida this week, attending meetings, touring trade show exhibits, and visiting with members of ag media. During their annual meeting, which is held in conjunction with Commodity Classic, the U.S. Soybean Export Council elected ASA Board Director and Illinois farmer leader, Stan Born of Lovington, Illinois as Chairman for the upcoming 12-month term.

The March issue of Illinois Field and Bean highlights the research projects that provide the most hopeful return for Illinois soybean farmers.
This week, members of the ISA staff attended Regenerative Grazing Field Days hosted by the Embarrass Grazing Partnership. There, attendees had the opportunity to learn about grazing cattle through the winter, managing cover crops for grazing, and preparing cattle for winter.

ISA District 12 Director, Brock Willard, was featured in the Illinois Farm Families’ “We are the 96” campaign, which showcases the 70,000 families that own and operate family farms in Illinois. Willard is a fifth-generation corn, soybean and pork farmer in Griggsville, Ill.
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development, soybean production and government relations efforts, while the membership program, Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) and the Illinois Soybean Growers PAC actively advocates for positive and impactful legislation for farmers at local, state and national levels. ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean farmers through promotion, advocacy, research and education with the vision of becoming a trusted partner of Illinois soybean farmers to ensure their profitability now and for future generations.
