The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is excited to welcome its 2024 class of summer interns. ISA internships are fully immersive experiences. Interns are onboarded like other staff members and work a set schedule. They’re integrated into meetings, attend events, and are given assignments that advance the work of ISA.

Three students representing Illinois State University, Illinois College, and Murray State University will work alongside directors, managers, specialists, and coordinators in the Information Technology, Marketing Communications, and Accounting departments.

Owen Keene of Mackinaw, Illinois, joins ISA as the Information Technology Intern. Keene is a junior at Illinois State University studying Computer Science. In his role, he will participate in preparing technical equipment, user access, and audio/video equipment and provide technical support for ISA staff.

Brady Borntreger of Arthur, Illinois, joins ISA as the Marketing and Communications Intern. Borntreger is a junior at Illinois College pursuing a triple major in Business Administration, Marketing, and Sports Management. In his role, he will execute a variety of content needs across the organization. He will also support the organization in both internal and external communications efforts, developing and deploying communications that include, but are not limited to, presentations, social media copy, magazine articles, blogs, videos, web updates, and more.

Shelby Trunnell of Kappa, Illinois, joins ISA as the Accounting Intern. Trunnell is a senior at Murray State University, pursuing a master’s degree in Agribusiness with a concentration in Accounting. In her role, she will participate in preparing journal entries and financial reports, analyzing financials, and assisting with other accounting activities.
