BLOOMINGTON, ILL – January 20, 2022 – Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has named Nicole Butler of Normal, Illinois as Human Resources Manager, effective January 17, 2022.

A former Human Resources Manager for Matcor Metal Fabrication, Morton, Illinois, Butler served on the organization’s leadership team; oversaw all Human Resources operations including employee benefits, training, recruiting and compliance; provided strategic direction to all managers, leadership members and General Manager; formulated and implement best practice policies and procedures to improve performance and decrease liability; and coordinated training and development to promote proper and effective staffing and personnel selections.

As Human Resources Manager for ISA, Butler will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) program, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering background checks, salaries, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Butler will serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization, and will work with the ISA leadership team to develop budgets, review project ideas, manage project and contract status working with an internal database.

“Nicole’s background, professional experience and skill set will be tremendously advantageous to the ISA team as we continue to grow, add staff, and increase our statewide presence,” says ISA CFO, Brian Hansen. “She will be instrumental in helping to execute the organization’s talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future staffing needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.”
