Another successful summer of events has come to pass. Farm Progress Show, Soy Connext and trade team visits all opened the doors for meaningful conversations with farmers and industry stakeholders. Our summer saw the growth of a network that spans continents. We hosted groups from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Ireland, Korea, United Kingdom and various Latin American countries, while also connecting with representatives from India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines and Pakistan to discuss U.S. soybean exports. Whether through office briefings, farm tours or industry meetings, these conversations underscored the international reach of Illinois soybeans.

No two meetings are ever the same. Some delegations arrive with deep technical knowledge, ready to dive into agronomic practices, sustainability or nutrition that influences animal feed formulation. Others experience a farm for the first time. Regardless of the starting point, our message remains consistent: Illinois soybeans are efficient, high quality and sustainably produced. Nonetheless, each group leaves our offices or farms with a unique experience and deeper understanding of the products they purchase

Rather than simply checking a box, these meetings go beyond one touchpoint. They represent real opportunities to expand Illinois’ market access and build long-term demand for soybeans. For farmers, this translates to stronger markets, greater stability and the confidence that their checkoff dollars are working beyond state and national borders. The relationships forged in our conference rooms and on farm tours lay the groundwork for purchase agreements.

As we reflect on this summer, one thing is clear: these interactions extend beyond individual meetings. They strengthen long-term partnerships, build new opportunities for trade and showcase the role Illinois soybeans play in meeting global demand. Every handshake, every conversation and every visit contributes to the bigger picture—keeping Illinois soybeans at the forefront of world agriculture.

These visits are a testament to the global demand for Illinois soybeans and to the dedication of Illinois farmers whose efforts make these conversations possible. Looking ahead, ISA is committed to carrying this momentum forward. As harvest approaches and farmers prepare for another season, our team will continue building bridges with international partners, showcasing the value of Illinois soy and ensuring that every conversation connects back to the farm gate.

In the end, every handshake, conversation and visit contributes to the bigger picture: keeping Illinois soybeans at the forefront of agricultural trade and ensuring that the voice of Illinois farmers is heard on the global stage.
