ISA is pleased to welcome Michael Whitmer as Director of Marketing Communications. In his new role, Whitmer will be responsible for advancing marketing functions within ISA and leading a core team of communications professionals to drive strategy across the organization.
To demonstrate the versatility of soy, ISA is funding the application of soy-based asphalt in the Varied Industries Tent at the Farm Progress Show site. The asphalt installation, created using soy asphalt technology, involves 100 percent recycled asphalt pavement mixed with a soy-based polymer.

Red Crown Rot was first detected in Illinois five years ago, and since then, it has been found throughout the state. Illinois agronomists continue to learn more about the disease as it is similar to sudden death syndrome (SDS) and can pose serious threat to farmers’ yields.
AIRABLE RESEARCH LAB DEVELOPS SOY-BASED SCALE INHIBITOR
Airable Research Lab, in partnership with LFS Chemistry, has developed a non-phosphorous alternative to its soy-based scale-inhibiting additive, which is needed by the water treatment industry to prevent the buildup of calcium scale in water systems.
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois.
