ISA ANNOUNCES 2023 ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS PROGRAM
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is excited to announce the return of its annual Achievement Awards Program, designed to honor individuals who have impacted the Illinois soybean industry. The five award categories include the Chairman’s Award, Legislator of the Year Award, Excellence in Media Award, Friend of Illinois Soybean Farmers Award, and Farm Family of the Year Award.
The USDA announced that agricultural producers and private landowners can sign up for the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) through May 26, 2023. Grassland CRP allows producers and landowners to continue grazing and haying practices while conserving grasslands.
ISA and Midwest Dairy are excited to present Taste of Farm Life at Clavin Dairy Farms on June 10, 2023. Guests are invited to bring the whole family for tours, food, and fun while experiencing what farm life is all about. This event is free; lunch will be provided and accessible parking is available.
ISA has partnered with Blake Noland and Birddog Workforce Scouting to share career opportunities in agriculture with students in high school, trade school, and community college programs. Noland has created “Behind the Bean,” a series of educational videos that feature various participants who provide authentic expectations of industry careers.
“Match Made in Heaven: Livestock + Crops” is a partnership between crop and livestock associations, universities, public agencies, and soil and water groups who are conducting a survey to help guide the development of future resources. Find more information and a link to the survey below.
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development, soybean production and government relations efforts, while the membership program, Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) and the Illinois Soybean Growers PAC actively advocates for positive and impactful legislation for farmers at local, state and national levels. ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean farmers through promotion, advocacy, research and education with the vision of becoming a trusted partner of Illinois soybean farmers to ensure their profitability now and for future generations.
