ISA LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE TRADE AND EXPORTS MAP
Illinois soybeans travel from the fields of the state’s 43,000 farmers to destinations and uses all over the world. The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has developed a new resource to tell the story of how they get there, an Interactive Trade and Export Journey Map that showcases Illinois soybeans’ global journey in a visual and educational way.
The 2023 Clean Fuels Conference was held in Tampa, Florida this week. ISA staff attended to learn more about renewable fuel from industry experts, and the opportunity to network with key clean fuel industry stakeholders.
The Leopold Conservation Award recognizes agricultural landowners who inspire others with their dedication to ethical land, water and wildlife habitat management. In Illinois, the award is presented by Illinois Corn and ISA. Apply or nominate by April 1, 2023.
Following the Illinois Soybean Grower’s Annual Meeting, the ISGPAC will host a private fundraising reception with Rob Sharkey “The Shark Farmer” at the ISA Bloomington Office on Tuesday, February 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the event, or in advance.
The IAA Foundation grants college scholarships to Illinois Farm Families, Illinois Farm Bureau members, spouses and their children who major in an agriculture related course of study. The 2023 IAA Foundation Scholarship Program includes 100 awards totaling $201,501. Applications are due February 15, 2023.
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development, soybean production and government relations efforts, while the membership program, Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) and the Illinois Soybean Growers PAC actively advocates for positive and impactful legislation for farmers at local, state and national levels. ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean farmers through promotion, advocacy, research and education with the vision of becoming a trusted partner of Illinois soybean farmers to ensure their profitability now and for future generations.
