BLOOMINGTON, ILL – June 23, 2022 –The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) honored Dr. Linda Kull for her many years of commitment to the Illinois soybean industry at their June board meeting, presenting her with an award recognizing her years of service.

“Dr. Kull has always been fully dedicated to Illinois soybean farmers throughout her career,” says Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) CEO, John Lumpe. “Her commitment to the industry has contributed greatly to the success of Illinois agriculture and we wish her the best in her retirement.”

Kull joined the association in 2013 and immediately went to work leading ISA’s footprint in research, agronomy, agtech and new uses. Her impacts remain a foundational element of some of ISA’s programming today, like in ILSoyAdvisor, ISA’s actionable, in-season agronomic platform which continues to provide resources and education to Illinois farmers.

Prior to her successful career at ISA, Kull spent 20 years at the University of Illinois National Soybean Research Lab where she began as a research coordinator and worked her way up to become a senior lead. There she coordinated numerous research projects, managing budgets of more than 3 million dollars in funding.

Despite her long career and many successes, Linda says she isn’t ready to slow down. In her retirement she plans to travel, spend time with family, and even turn her love for crafting into its own entrepreneurial operation.

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development and utilization efforts while the membership program supports the government relations interests of Illinois soybean farmers at the local, state, and national level, through the Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG). ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean producers through promotion, advocacy, and education with the vision of becoming a market leader in sustainable soybean production and profitability. For more information, visit the website www.ilsoy.org and ilsoygrowers.com.
