ILLINOIS SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES SPRINGBOARD CHALLENGE WINNERS

Last week, the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) announced the inaugural winners of the SpringBoard Seed Funding Challenge at the Illinois Innovation Network’s Sustainability Research Conference at Northern Illinois University. The four research project proposals approved by the SpringBoard Technical Review Committee each cover one of the five critical sustainability categories where soy-based inputs can displace petrochemicals: bioplastics, lubricants, PFAS substitutes, biopolymers and biofibers.

Through the On-Farm Trial Network, ISA is now recruiting farmers to participate in on-farm research that will evaluate foliar and seed treatment insecticides, sulfur fertilization, and double-crop wheat and soybean management.
