The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) showcased the nutritional and quality advantages of U.S. soy for poultry producers at the 2022 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) held January 25-27 in Atlanta, GA, where more than 8,000 visitors gathered from 130 countries including United Soybean Board member Gary Berg and American Soybean Association Director Daryl Cates, along with ISA Trade and Export Manager Eileen Urish and Trade Team Coordinator David Headley.
The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is a collaboration of three shows – International Feed Expo, International Meat Expo and the International Poultry Expo – representing the entire chain of protein production and processing.
IPPE focuses on specific goals for attendees.
Innovation – bringing together buyers and sellers of the latest technology of products and services to make their business successful.
Education – learning from the experts in free- and fee-based world-class programs on topics that cross industry interests.
Global Reach – attracting more than 8,000 International visitors from 130 countries.
Networking – meeting new and rekindling old relationships with leaders across the industries.
The Illinois Soybean Association is proud to participate in IPPE, with the ability to network and promote soybeans to domestic and international buyers. While there, Illinois soybean farmers and United Soybean Board members Gary Berg and Daryl Cates had the ability to network within the more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space and with the 1,140-plus exhibitors. IPPE is the world’s largest annual poultry, meat, and animal food industry event of its kind.
In addition to the large trade show, there were interactive educational programs for attendees. With over 120 hours of educational session, the subjects ranged from meat care to biosecurity to processing.
“It is always a pleasure representing the Illinois Soybean Association at IPPE where we engaged with key partners both foreign and domestic,” says Eileen Urish, ISA Trade and Export Manager. “Events such as this aid in our goal to increase market development both domestically and internationally.”
The yearly experience was held virtually in 2021. This year was a year of fellowship, learning, and creating deep-rooted relationships.
