BLOOMINGTON, ILL – March 8, 2021 – Starting to arrive this week, Illinois soybean farmers will see a new issue of Illinois Field & Bean which brings focus to several Illinois representatives who have recently been called to serve the soy industry on a national level, and to ISA’s culture of cultivating leadership.

In his column dedicated to “Growing Great Leaders,” Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) CEO John Lumpe said, “Members of the ISA Board are revered in the soy industry for their expertise, ethics, ingenuity, and their investment in all things forward-facing. They are committed to a hard work ethic. They are steady when the grain market isn’t and say “Yes” when it would be easier to say “No.”’

Concludes Lumpe, “Political officials, media networks, national collaborators, and international partners all depend on Illinois as a leading-edge example. Whether they go looking for it or not, members of the ISA community find themselves being called up to represent the best interests of soy farmers across the nation. And not only do they answer the call, they encourage others to do the same. That’s the Illinois Soybean Association. That’s our culture.”

The digital version of the March issue is now available for viewing at: https://www.ilsoy.org/newsroom/illinois-field-bean/.

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois. The checkoff funds market development and utilization efforts while the membership program supports the government relations interests of Illinois soybean farmers at the local, state, and national level, through the Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG). ISA upholds the interests of Illinois soybean producers through promotion, advocacy, and education with the vision of becoming a market leader in sustainable soybean production and profitability.
