Executive Administrator to the CEO

Kati Owen is the Illinois Soybean Association’s Executive Administrator to the CEO.  She is responsible for collaboration with company leaders to determine and prioritize business strategies, management of the CEO’s schedule & travel, facilitation of strategies to take root and provide support for more formal projects as established, support the CEO with improvement of business acumen and governance, operations, organization, project/delivery, and financials, as well as collection and distribution of state soybean checkoff receipts

Owen is an alumnus of Illinois State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Financial Accounting.  She is currently enrolled at Colorado State University-Global in pursuance of her Master of Professional Accountancy degree, once completed she intends to sit for the CPA.  Owen has over 20 years of accounting experience in various industries.

She hails from the small town of Stanford, IL.  Alongside her husband, she produces beef cattle and operates a privately-owned excavating company.  In her free time, she enjoys riding horses with her daughters and granddaughter.
