Your ROI in Action
NEW USES
Through the Soy Innovation Center, the Illinois Soybean Association brings together academia, entrepreneurs, and industry to invest in and commercialize innovative soy-based products. The It’s Sustainably Soy Certification program recognizes companies leading in sustainable soy innovation, with more than 100 certified products already on the market.
BIODIESEL
The U.S. biodiesel industry contributes $15.2 billion to the farm sector and supports over 100,000 jobs nationwide. Thanks to advocacy from Illinois Soybean Growers, the B20 bill encourages higher biodiesel blends, strengthening demand for soy-based fuel and returns for Illinois farmers.
TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
Illinois soybean farmers have a competitive edge thanks to our state’s robust transportation network. That’s why the Illinois Soybean Association invests checkoff dollars to strengthen Illinois’ aging infrastructure. According to a recent WSP study, every dollar invested in Illinois bridge maintenance results in $4.97 in benefits for all roadway users.
PRODUCTION RESEARCH
Checkoff-funded research delivers unbiased, practical insights farmers can apply directly on their operations. Through the On-Farm Trial Network, Illinois farmers are helping uncover innovative agronomic solutions for today’s challenges. Visit FieldAdvisor.org to explore the latest agronomic findings.
MARKET DIVERSIFICATION
In partnership with the U.S. Soybean Export Council, the Illinois Soybean Association supports Soy Excellence Centers that provide agribusiness training across four continents. These efforts help build global demand and preference for U.S. soy, including a 49% increase in soybean meal imports to Indonesia over the past five years.
