At Large Market Development Committee Chairman

Scott Gaffner, Greenville, Illinois, is the Market Development Committee Chairman of the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) and serves on the Governance Committee. He raises soybeans and corn on their centennial family farm and is an at-large director. He represents ISA’s interests with the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health, WISHH, United States Soybean Export Council, USSEC, and USA Poultry and Egg Export Council USAPEEC. He also is a previous Soy Ambassador.

Gaffner attended Lincoln Christian University, Greenville University, and Western Illinois University and has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He served as a lieutenant with the Illinois State Police for nearly 30 years, owns other small businesses, including an internet service provider and Scooter’s Coffee franchise, and instructs as an adjunct professor at Greenville University. He and his wife, Jamie, have two children. Caleb serves as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss, and Cody is a product engineer in remanufacturing with Caterpillar.
