Director

James Martin is a fifth-generation farmer in Pontiac, Illinois, where he produces soybeans and corn. He is a district director, a member of the ISA Soybean Production and Finance Committees, and sits on the Heartland Community College Ag Advisory Board and the Precision Conservation Management (PCM) Steering Committee. Martin has a bachelor’s degree in ag industries from the University of Illinois and attended Illinois Valley Community College. Along with farming, he operates an independent insurance agency and income tax service and holds the Chartered Life Insurance Underwriter designation from the American College of Pennsylvania. He previously was an American Soybean Association DuPont Young Leader and Illinois SoyLeader. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children.
