
James Martin is a fifth-generation farmer from LaSalle County who resides in Pontiac, Illinois, where he produces soybeans and corn. He is a district director and member of the ISA Soybean Production and Finance Committees. He has a bachelor’s degree in ag industries from the University of Illinois and attended Illinois Valley Community College. Along with farming, he operates an independent insurance agency and income tax service and holds the Chartered Life Insurance Underwriter designation from the American College of Pennsylvania. He previously was an American Soybean Association DuPont Young Leader and Illinois SoyLeader. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children.
