Doug Martin is the District 9 Director for the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) and is a member of the Market Development Committee. Doug farms with his family in Logan, Macon, Sangamon and DeWitt counties, raising soybean and corn. He and his wife have four children. Doug earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural production from Southern Illinois University and returned home to farm in 1998. 

He is a 2004 graduate of The Illinois Ag Leadership Program, a graduate of the 2006 Cultivating Master Farmer Program and completed the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership program to become a Soil Health Ambassador. He is the former chairman of the Land of Lincoln Soil Savers, a former member of the Ag Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, former director for the Logan County Soil and Water Conservation District, and former President of the Mt. Pulaski Athletic Association. He is currently on Mt. Pulaski CUSD #23 school board, where he was president for 8 years.
