Betsey Emerick, from Vandalia, Illinois, is an at-large director for the Illinois Soybean Association, a member of the Market Development and Finance Committees, and serves as a representative for the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH). She has an associate of science and arts degree from Rend Lake College and a bachelor of science in finance from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Emerick also is a member of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program Class of 2020. She farms with her mother, Patti, and brother, Matt.

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) checkoff and membership programs represent more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois.
