Over the next 5-10 years, Dan's focus is on streamlining the operation to remain efficient with minimal labor, considering his father's aging and his children's youth, and reliable labor planning becomes a significant challenge and goal. One valuable lesson that has stuck with Dan throughout his farming career is that there is always something to do on the farm, emphasizing the importance of hard work and sacrifice to keep the operation profitable and vibrant. The best part of farming for Dan is being a part of the same family farm that has been farmed by the Grebner family since 1855, valuing the chance to continue this rich tradition with his son and daughter.
