ISG Applauds Infrastructure Package Passage
As Congress passed a historic $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill on Friday, November 5, the Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) celebrated the passage that will rebuild the nation’s deteriorating roads and bridges and fund new climate resilience and broadband initiatives. This bill makes historic investments in U.S. infrastructure and will greatly impact the competitiveness of soy and other agricultural products for years to come.
ISA On Display: TOI Highway Commissioner Training and Exhibitor
ISA attended the Township Officials of Illinois (TOI) Highway Commissioner Training and Exhibitor event on November 5th. While there, we were able to visit with Illinois County Road Commissioners about environmentally friendly soy-based products for highways and bridges, county and city roads, and parking lots.

illinois Harvest Update
Illinois soybeans are 85% harvested as of November 7, 2021. This time last year they were 96% harvested; the average for this time of year is 92%.

High School Senior Interested in Ag?
The ASA Soy Scholarship is a $5,000 one-time award presented to a high school senior who plans to pursue agriculture as an area of study at any accredited college or university in the 2022-23 academic year.

Community Co-Op Funding Now Available
Funding is now available through the Illinois Pork Community Outreach Co-op Program, which matches up to $250 for the purchase of pork products, through the end of the calendar year.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture held a virtual grain tour on Oct. 19, 2021, that generated $12.4 million in projected sales, more than $4 million in additional projected sales over last year's numbers.
