ISA Hosts June Board Meeting at Beck’s Hybrids


The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) convened its June Board Meeting in Effingham, IL, at the the location of ISA corporate partner, Beck’s Hybrids. The June board meeting lays basis for conversations and critical decisions around the association’s FY23 project funding. Staff and board members were also invited on a plot tour while there. Illinois Director of Agriculture, Jerry Costello, also addressed the board.

IL Farm Families Taste of Randolph Event Recap

Illinois Farm Families (IFF) attended the Taste of Randolph street fair where representatives, including soybean farmers, were able to speak with consumers one-on-one about where their food comes from and answer food supply chain questions. Attendees received reusable bags, educational magnets, and coloring books and soy crayons.

Soy Checkoff Partners with IFYE to Cultivate 
Next Generation of Agricultural Leaders

With the future of agriculture rooted in generational farming, exposing young adults to careers in this industry ensures a pipeline of strong talent for years to come. This summer, United Soybean Board will send five students from Illinois, Iowa and North Carolina to Germany for a three-month, immersive agricultural experience as part of the U.S. international exchange program.

Record-level red meat exports of $18.7 billion in 2021 had a major impact on the corn and soybean industries, according to an independent study by the Juday Group. The study quantified the returns that red meat exports brought to corn and soybean producers in 2021 nationally, and at state levels for leading corn-producing and soybean-producing states.
