PLANTING PROGRESS UPDATE
USDA released its Crop Progress and Conditions report this week, announcing planting progress for soybeans in Illinois is at 80 percent for week ending May 23, 2021. At this time in 2020, planting progress was at 64 percent.

INDONESIA CONSULATE OFFICE VISITS CONTAINER FACILITY
Because Indonesia is a key export market for Illinois soybeans, ISA continues to cultivate a collaborative relationship with the Indonesia Consulate Office, located in Chicago, Illinois. On Tuesday, May 25, ISA leadership facilitated the group’s visit to DeLong Company’s container loading facility, located in Joliet, Illinois.

The Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership (ISAP) will be holding a free, four-part webinar series this summer, exploring new ecosystem services market opportunities for Midwest farmers. The series will provide farmers and their advisors with practical and straightforward information on innovative market incentives. The webinars will be held on Tuesday, June 22, Thursday, June 24, Tuesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM CDT.
