Illinois Soybean Association and B20 Club Showcase Biodiesel at Green Drives Conference and Expo

Earlier this week, Chicago Area Clean Cities held its annual Green Drives Conference and Expo. The Illinois Soybean Association in connection with the Illinois B20 Club were present at the event highlighting our promotion of biodiesel throughout the state, including Chicago. This conference is one of the largest clean-transportation conferences held in the Midwest for government officials, commercial and municipal fleet managers, corporate sustainability officers, and clean-tech and clean-energy professionals who want to learn how to use cleaner, lower-emissions fuels like biodiesel.


ISA Hosts Webinar For Food Industry Focused on Sustainably Produced Soy

This week, ISA conducted a webinar “Exploring Soy as a Healthful Sustainably-Produced Ingredient,” designed to educate food and ingredient industry professionals on how Illinois-grown soybeans can help organizations meet their customer’s health and sustainability demands. Attendees had the chance to ask ISA Agronomy Manager Jennifer Jones and Corvus Blue Principal Kantha Shelke questions regarding sustainable soybean production and the nutritional benefits of soy as a powerful protein source.

Representative LaHood and Representative Davis meet with ISA Directors

Representative Darin LaHood (D-18) visited Illinois Soybean Board Director Mark Read’s farm near Putnam to discuss planting season challenges, the upcoming Farm Bill, and other hot topics like cover crops and carbon. During another legislative visit, Representative Rodney Davis (D-13) met with ISA Director Ron Kindred at a lock and dam to discuss waterways and infrastructure necessities.
