B20 POLICY UPDATE
It was very encouraging to see B20 legislation sponsored by Illinois Senator Patrick Joyce, also called Senate Bill 2394, passed out of the Agriculture and Conservation Committee on Thursday, April 15th, with a unanimous and bipartisan vote. It was referred to the Senate Revenue Committee, where it will then be voted on before going to the Senate floor for a vote from the entire body. Then it has to go through the House of Representatives.

ISA staff continues to hold meetings with legislators from every corner of Illinois to educate them on this important legislation.

Often, farmers do not comprehend the true reach their soybeans can have after they leave their field, the elevator, and find their way across the ocean.
