ISA Sponsors Heartland Community College Soils Lab
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is a proud sponsor of the Heartland Community College Soils Lab, which is part of the college’s new modern ag complex designed to serve the educational and ag workforce needs of central Illinois. The soils lab is a learning space designed to give students hands-on experience in a lab setting, as well as in demonstration plots around the exterior of the building, for an in-and-out educational setting.
ISA Attends Illinois Department of Agriculture Fall Grain Tour
On Thursday, September 22, ISA’s trade and export team had the opportunity to host over 40 participants of the Annual Grain Tour organized by the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA). They heard firsthand how Illinois soy differs from other points of origin, sustainable farming practices of Illinois soy producers, and the competitive advantage Illinois soy growers have due to the robust transportation system across the state.
The September issue of Illinois Field & Bean magazine provides an inside perspective on the collaborative partnership between IL Corn and the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA). Together, IL Corn and ISA have created a new collaborative model, moving Illinois agriculture to cast a wider net by formalizing existing networks and establishing new mechanisms for communication.
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has named Kelsey Litchfield of Rio, Illinois as Agronomic Programs Coordinator. In her new role within the ISA Agronomy team, Litchfield will be working on behalf of Illinois soybean farmers by coordinating programs and implementing mission driven objectives.
