Illinois Farmers Encouraged to Participate in ISB At-Large Director Voting

BLOOMINGTON, ILL – July 25, 2018 --  The Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) is holding its annual public meeting on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the I Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 S. 1st Street, Champaign, Ill., 61820. At-large director elections will take place at 11:00 a.m., and two individuals will be elected. Any Illinois soybean farmer in attendance can vote.
 
Candidates for the two open positions include: Dwayne Anderson, Lynn Center; Scott Gaffner, Greenville; Kent Lock, Fulton; Dennis Wentworth, Downs; and David Wessel, Chandlerville.
 
The at-large directors will be elected by a majority of soybean farmers in attendance at the ISB public meeting. There will be no write-in provisions for at-large directors.
 
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) represents the interests of more than 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois through the state soybean checkoff and membership efforts.  ISB, which is one of the entities of the ISA organization, manages and invests Illinois soybean checkoff funds.
