BLOOMINGTON, ILL – November 29, 2021 – The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has named Danielle Anderson as State Legislative Director, effective November 22, 2021.
Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis University, and a Master of Political Management degree from George Washington University. She has served many professional legislative roles, including the Director of Government Affairs and Public Relations for Marquis Energy, and most recently Associate Director of State Legislation for Illinois Farm Bureau. In this role, Danielle represented IL Farm Bureau’s positions and policies to state legislators, executive and branch staff members and others; researched legislation to implement favorable agricultural policy; presented testimony before the General Assembly committees; and provide detailed analysis of legislation, especially in the areas of biofuels, energy, livestock, cottage food operations and chemicals.
Anderson served as Vice President for the Illinois Renewable Fuels Association, and currently serves as a Board Member for the State of Illinois Rivers Coordinating Council.
In her role as State Legislative Director for ISA, Anderson will manage the governmental affairs, stakeholder relationships and community engagements in support of the ISA’s Government Affairs strategic objectives. She will also assist in the development of policy positions and legislative initiatives, and manage the legislative staff team.
