BLOOMINGTON, ILL – November 8, 2021 – Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) has named David Knapp as Information Technology Manager, effective November 1, 2021.

A former Senior Level IT Manager, Systems Network Administrator, and Director of Safety and Security for the U.S. Army overseas contract sector,  Knapp brings experience in organizational change, applying technical and problem-solving skills to improve both team and organizational performance, and leveraging existing technology and knowledge base with internal resources to facilitate business excellence.

In his previous role as Senior Information Technology Manager for Penn National Gaming, Knapp worked with C-Level Executives and Finance Managers to develop and implement IT infrastructure for Penalty Box Sports Bar, he successfully executed multi-million dollar projects and implementations utilizing six sigma solutions and methodology, implemented site-wide network management systems, developed capital and operational budgets for information technology department for multiple sites, and supported significant departmental cost savings through contract renegotiations and utilization of internal departmental staff resources. Knapp also served as lead project manager for successful ATT Cellular Bandwidth upgrade.

As Information Technology Manager for ISA, Knapp will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. He will lead development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and A/V systems, maintain ISA websites, project management database, and customer relationship management software, and oversees security of systems, networks, and organization’s information.
