If you grow soybeans—and especially if you want bigger yields and better profits—be sure to sign up for the 2019 ILSoyAdvisor Soybean Summit. Funded in part by the Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program, this year’s Soybean Summit will educate producers and production industry participants on various management techniques that can lead to higher yields and greater profitability, including:

- Marketing in times of tariffs and low commodity prices
- Discovering new trends and techniques to help boost potential and break yield barriers
- Technology and innovation in the race to gain efficiency
- Harnessing data to make more profitable management decisions
- Finding new ways for Illinois soybean farmers to overcome production challenges and meet growing global demand

These topics and more will be covered at this year’s Summit. Certified Crop Advisers can earn up to seven hours of CEUs in the following categories: Nutrient Management (1),  Soil & Water Management (1), Crop Management (8), Professional Development (1).

This year's Summit will also host two keynote sessions featuring Bryce Knorr, senior market analyst for Farm Futures, sharing on marketing strategies in times of tariffs and low commodity prices and Sean Arians, a farmer and the founder of GrainCoat LLC, discussing the decision-making process when it comes to evaluating new technologies and fitting them into your production practices.

Attending the Soybean Summit is FREE and includes complimentary breakfast, lunch and coffee throughout the day. Attendance provides the opportunity to hear details on advanced production techniques from industry experts, and share ideas with fellow farmers. You can also gather information on the latest products and services from sponsors and exhibitors at the Summit trade show.

Be sure to stick around until the end—the Summit will finish with a farmer roundtable focused on “Challenges and Viable Solutions in Soybean Production,” including an audience Q&A session.

The Summit will run from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a full slate of speakers, food, networking and opportunities to engage with industry representatives and experts at the on-site trade show. Register online and save your spot for this year’s event, however walk-in attendees are always welcome. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Soybean Summit.
