For many family farms, pesticides provide the foundation for effective pest management as each farm strives to feed and clothe the world thereby protecting our country’s national security. As the U.S. EPA rapidly implements pesticide label restrictions to protect endangered and threatened species per court requirements, these restrictions are already limiting the practical use of pesticides for farmers. These restrictions are often the product of a combination of time constraints, an insufficient amount of scientific data, and overly protective assumptions where data is lacking.
