Daryl Cates farms near Columbia, Ill., and is a district director for the Illinois Soybean Association. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in agronomy, and currently raises corn, soybeans and wheat. Cates also is a DuPont Pioneer seed sales representative and a Certified Crop Adviser. He is secretary for the American Soybean Association's World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) board. He previously was on the ISA board as a member of the executive committee, as well as the United Soybean Board and American Soybean Development Foundation. Cates is a Farm Bureau member and active in his church.
