Industrial Uses
As Americans we're trying to reduce our reliance on nonrenewable resources such as petroleum-based products, especially those made from foreign oil. To do this we need to use more local, sustainable and renewable resources like soybeans. Products made from soybeans provide the opportunity to use millions of bushels of soybeans every year.
Through funding from the Illinois soybean checkoff, ISA is working hard to increase the production and use of soy-based products like biodiesel and household cleaners and to research new uses for soybeans. You can read more about the many industrial uses of Illinois soybeans on the following pages and in our press releases.
