Illinois Soy 2020

IL Soy 2020 LogoIllinois Soy 2020 is an initiative to ensure continued competitiveness and leadership for our Illinois soybean industry in the global marketplace. The semi-annual forum brings state and national soybean industry leaders together to discuss the future of the soybean industry and how to best optimize the soybean value chain.

The most recent meeting was held on November 10, 2011, at the Illinois Soybean Association office where the focus was on biodiesel and its benefits to the value chain. Studies presented and discussed highlighted several reasons why Illinois leads the nation in biodiesel production, including plentiful soybean crushing facilities and biodiesel refineries -- and the fuel's exemption from state sales tax.

Please read this informative press release for more details from the meeting.
