Clean School Bus Program

The Illinois Clean School Bus Program is an important initiative that aims to make the environment cleaner and healthier for Illinois schoolchildren. To achieve this goal, we need to lower particulate matter (PM) and other harmful emissions that come from school buses powered by diesel engines.

What does that have to do with soybeans? A 20 percent biodiesel blend (made from soybeans) may reduce PM emissions by as much as 10 percent!

Several Illinois school districts, colleges, and mass transit systems are using biodiesel. If your school district isn't one of them, contact your superintendent.
