The Illinois Clean School Bus Program

The Illinois Clean School Bus Program is an important initiative that aims to make the environment cleaner and healthier for Illinois school children. To achieve this goal, we need to lower particulate matter (PM) and other harmful emissions that come from school buses powered by diesel engines.

What does that have to do with soybeans? A 20% biodiesel blend (made from soybeans) may reduce PM emissions by as much as 10%!

Below, listed by county, you'll find the Illinois school districts, colleges, and mass transit systems that use biodiesel! If your school district isn't listed, contact your superintendent.
