U.S. livestock and poultry farmers can meet the growing global demand for high-quality protein. ISA supports U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and U.S.A. Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) work to keep our animal agriculture industry – and top consumers – growing.

The Illinois soybean checkoff program funds projects that promote U.S. pork and poultry, breaking down barriers between U.S. products and international consumers. Many countries with ISA-funded projects are buying more U.S. pork, despite overall pork export declines. And although the 2015 bird flu outbreak in the U.S. caused significant decreases in poultry exports, work is underway to regain those markets.
